How we're different
How is Mentrast different from ChatGPT or Claude?
While AI models like ChatGPT are powerful, they aren't built to be teachers. They often allow you to skip the basics. Mentrast is different—we focus on a clear, step by step path first. We don't just answer questions; we help you prove you understand the concepts before moving to the next step.
Why does the system restrict access to certain topics?
We believe true understanding is built piece by piece. In traditional learning, it's easy to skip ahead without really getting the basics, which leads to confusion later. Mentrast makes sure you've mastered each step before moving forward. This means when you reach the hard stuff, you're actually ready for it.
Is this platform suitable for beginners?
Mentrast is optimized for serious learners—people who are self-driven and willing to put in the effort. While a beginner can certainly use it, the system focuses on mastery rather than gamification. It is a rigorous environment designed for efficiency. If you are looking for competence and deep understanding, you are in the right place.
How the learning works
How does the engine generate my learning path?
Mentrast builds a custom roadmap based on your specific objective. Instead of a static course, it identifies every concept required to reach your goal, assesses what you already know, and generates the most efficient route. It is the shortest path between your current knowledge and total mastery.
How do you ensure the AI is accurate?
We use a multi-step check. First, the AI builds your path based on verified textbooks and documentation. Second, the system asks you to solve problems to prove your understanding. We also have background checks running constantly to make sure the AI's explanations stay accurate and consistent.
What happens if I take a break?
Your progress is always saved, but we know knowledge can fade. Mentrast tracks what you've learned. If you've been away for a while, we'll recommend a quick review of the basics before you jump into new, harder material.
Does the system support code and mathematical notation?
Yes. The platform is built natively for STEM. We support full LaTeX rendering for mathematics and have an embedded code execution environment for programming concepts. You can run Python, JavaScript, and Rust directly within your verification sessions.
Privacy & Teams
Is my learning data private?
Yes. You own your data. Your personal progress, notes, and history are encrypted and unique to your account. We do not use your personal learning data to train our AI without your permission. We can see general patterns to improve the system, but never your private notes.
Will there be a version for Teams or Enterprises?
Yes. We are currently piloting 'Mentrast for Teams' with select engineering organizations. This allows technical leads to define a 'Target Graph' (e.g., 'Our Internal System Architecture') and have their team bridge the gap from their current knowledge to that target. It provides a dashboard for engineering velocity and knowledge gaps.
What is the long-term pricing model?
During our Public Beta, Mentrast is free for everyone. After the beta, we will introduce tiers: 'Learner' for individuals and 'Pro' for power users who need advanced features. We are committed to always offering a generous free tier for students and independent researchers.
